Tennis Tournaments & Events

For club members, Armonk Tennis offers special tennis tournaments and social events throughout the summer. See below for descriptions.

Men's Summer Kickoff

Increase your network of tennis friends by meeting new members and getting reacquainted with returning ones. The format is a fun yet competitive doubles round robin in which you'll partner with a variety of other members.

Member-Guest Tournaments

Introduce your friends to the club you call home. Members must recruit a non-member as a doubles partner. The format is a fun, competitive round robin. An entry fee covers food and drinks, as well as prizes.

Men's Singles Ladder

A summer-long format that provides some flexibility for organizing matches to suit your personal schedule. The ladder is a list of members who are interested in competing in singles matches against a wide range of players. Every match you play earns you points, and each win helps you to climb up the ladder. Ladder play gives you the opportunity to play more matches, meet more people, and improve your game.

Men's Davis Cup

Play with and against your peers in a structured environment that fosters an environment of camaraderie and competition. Teams consist of at least 10 players, with individual levels ranging from 3.5 to 4.5. Four pre-scheduled dual matches are played, each encompassing 3 lines of doubles per team (6 players per team per dual match). Each doubles pairing must add up to a maximum rating of 8.0, and the lineup should be best versus best. Match results, including total sets won, are tracked to determine the winning team. An end-of-season gathering will be held to recognize the winning team.

Men's Doubles Social

Weekly evening doubles for members of levels 4.0+/-. Each week offers the opportunity to play two doubles matches. The first match is with others of a comparable level, while the second match is with players of a different level. These gatherings are a fun way to release stresses from the workday and enjoy a common interest among friends. Players are invited to stay for food and beverages after the tennis.

Mixed Doubles Social

Enjoy the mental, physical, and social benefits of tennis with your spouse or friend of the opposite gender. The format is a casual round robin, and both members and non-members are welcome to participate. Music, food, and drinks add to the ambience.

Men's Singles Club Championship

Test your skills and match toughness in Armonk Tennis Club's most prestigious annual tournament. First-round matches take place over two weekend dates in a round-robin format. Players choose which date to play on, and the top two finishers on each date advance to the semifinals.
